Chapter 18. The same old melodrama Chapter 18. The same old melodrama? Continuity and change in international relations This chapter surveys the elements and issues covered throughout the course. In doing that it examines five topics/themes of the course, but directs them specifically towards analysis of continuity or change in the international system: a) cooperation and conflict; b) change, stability and order; c) power and justice; d) governance; e) security.
