Simple Past Tense Formula- S+ V2+ O e.g.- I wrote a letter.

Past Continuous Tense Formula- S + was/were + V + ing + O e.g.- I was writing a letter.

Past Perfect Tense Formula- S + had + V3 + O e.g.- I had written a letter.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense Formula- S + had + been + V + ing + O e.g.- I had been writing a letter.
