Call for NHS Health Check ‘Good News Stories’ We are looking for ‘Good News’ stories that illustrate the impact of the NHS Health Check programme on the lives of ordinary people – e.g. Stan’s Story from NHS Birmingham Mr Stanley Willy - Birmingham “I have been trying to stop for 50 years; I’ve tried 5 or 6 six times before but each time didn’t manage to do it . Then I had a letter asking me to come along for a NHS Health check. I was asked to join the stop smoking group which I went along to. I am still not smoking and also keeping an eye on my cholesterol level”
