To achieve positive results Our mission To achieve positive results

Public Leadership Theory Build Coalitions Situational Theory Most effective with social problems. Bring together resources to address needs of their subordinates. Educate, motivate, and initiate change. Bring attention to injustices.

Situational theory proposes that situational motivation is goal-oriented. The main goal of information forwarding or information sharing is to solve a problem as a group because that collective action is more effective than individual action (Lee, Oshita, & Oh, 2014).

public leadership style “The Roots of our problems are: Wealth without work, Pleasure without Conscience, Knowledge without Character, Commerce without Morality, Science without Humanity, Worship without Sacrifice, Politics without Principles.” By Mohandas K. Gandhi

Charismatic style Dr. Martin L. King and President John F. Kennedy Two of the most charismatic and influential leaders of the 60s

servant Leadership style Principles of style Transformation as a vehicle for personal and institutional growth. Enable environments that empower and encourage service. Trusting relationships as a basic platform for collaboration and service. Benefit those who are least advantaged in society. Nurturing the spirit as a way to provide joy and fulfillment in meaningful work. Principles of leadership style

Public leadership trends A high-performing government relies on an engaged, well-prepared, and well-trained workforce. Whether defending our homeland, restoring confidence in financial system, providing relief to victims of disasters, or searching for diplomacy abroad, providing relief to victims of disasters, or searching for cures to the most vexing diseases, we are fortunate to be able to depend upon skilled workforce committed to public service (Whitehouse.gov, 2016).

Significant trends Leadership in public sector is a group concept, a process of affecting, a power of public spirit, a movement to common goals, and a direction to organizational development (Zhihong, Wei, & Xiaoying, 2013). For organizational efficacy, leaders must combine authentic values-based leadership with a willingness and ability to share leadership responsibilities with internal and external stakeholders (Kellis & Ran, 2013). To overcome weaknesses in leadership styles, leaders should develop training classes and workshops that are fun, informative, and inclusive of all stakeholders.
