The Nurture Group Ms. S. Brincat Friggieri

What is a ‘nurture group’? provides a safe and structured environment gives children opportunities to talk, listen, share their ideas within a small group gives them skills to enable them achieve more when they are back in the classroom

The Nurture Room… The room offers a safe environment. The children follow a clearly planned daily program. The children meet up for Circle Time, breakfast, structured play time and crafts or cooking.

What is Circle Time?

The children are reminded of the Circle Time Rules which they are proud to follow!

During Circle Time children learn about different emotions and how to express themselves.

The importance of words… Nurture involves listening and responding. We give a lot of importance to the way children use language in order to help them put their feelings into words. This helps children to either control themselves or else open up to others.

The activities we share… Welcoming children to the Nurture Room Having Circle Time Sitting at table and having breakfast together Playing together Doing crafts or even cooking

These activities… Are as important as other formal subjects which take place in the classroom because they help children have better relationships with others. Are important for the development of self-esteem.
