Shopping hours Vary from country to country, from region to region In some regions, shops may be shut for a lunch hour For one weekday In big cities, shops remain open later May be open on Sundays

Coming from outside Europe (Tobacco, alcohol) There is a higher or lower limit depending on the country you are visiting if you are coming from outside the EU. 

Tobacco Higher limits: Lower limits: 200 cigarettes 100 cigarillos 50 cigars 250 g tubacco Lower limits: 40 cigarettes 20 cigarillos 10cigars 50 g tubacco

Alcohol 1 litre of spirits over 22 % vol. or 2 litres of fortified or sparkling wine 4 litres of still wine 16 litres of beer

VAT in Europe VAT and excise are included in the price you pay You may take advantage of some interesting price differences. 'Duty-free' shopping does not exist when you travel between EU countries
