MEMORY VERSE “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11).

Introduction The book of Ephesian is from one of the letters, written by Apostle Paul to Christians in Ephesus.

Introduction When in prison, he was guarded by Roman soldiers, so he was able to describe their armour and uniform very well. Paul used the example of a Roman soldier and his armour and weapons to teach the Ephesian Christians and us valuable lessons.

The Soldier’s Armour The soldier’s armour is made up of many pieces which are: Belt Breastplate, Shoes, Shield Helmet. Only when he was fully protected by his armour could he use his sword to fight against the enemy.

Armour of Friends of Jesus We can become soldiers in Jesus’ army by repenting and turning away from our bad ways.

Who are we fighting? Our enemy is Satan and sin. An army of soldiers fight together against the enemy, not against each other. Friends of Jesus should be loving to each other. Jesus Christ is the Captain and Commander-in-chief of His army. He knows very well how to use the armour Himself and only with His help and guidance can we use it and have victory over sin and the devil.

Questions 1. How can a sinful child become a soldier in Jesus’ army?__________________________________________________________ 2. As friends of Jesus we are fighting against _____________ and ____________ 3. The armour that Jesus has given us to fight with are ______, _______, ______,_______, _______, _______ and ________ 4. _______________________ is our captain.

LESSON & THOUGHT LESSON: The battle against our arch enemy demands that we put on the complete armour. THOUGHT: I will put on the whole armour of God so as to win in the battle against Satan.

HOMEWORK: Pray for friends of Jesus who are going through persecution in their lives and ministry.
