Dream Vacation Destination Mrs. Rij iClass 2017

Why is Las Vegas the perfect travel destination? Las Vegas is the perfect travel destination for all of you because of the excellent selection of hotels, variety of shows, and fabulous restaurants. Las Vegas has over 75 hotels with various themes and activities. It also offers shows for the entire family. Some shows cost money while many of the shows are every hour and are free for the public. Since we love to try new restaurants, Las Vegas is perfect place to eat at a world famous restaurant! Of all the wonderful places to travel, Las Vegas is a perfect fit for everyone!

When are we going? June 5th, 6th, & 7th This is a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday These dates were chosen because the rates for hotel rooms are cheaper than if we went on a weekend Also the summer months are an ideal time to travel to Las Vegas because it is warm enough to sit by the hotel pool

How are we getting there? Flying Southwest Airlines Leave for Vegas @ 9:00AM on Monday, June 5th. Arrive at 10:10AM. Flight #1493 Leave for Phoenix @ 3:20PM on Wednesday, June 7th. Arrive at 4:30PM. Flight #962 TOTAL: $170 per flight x 2 people = $340

How are we getting around Las Vegas? Most of the attractions are close enough that we will be able to walk to each of them For any destinations that are farther than walking on foot then we will take a taxi or buy a monorail ticket Monorail tickets are $12 for a 24-hour pass or $5 for a single ride Taxi prices are $3.30 for initial pickup and then $2.60 for each additional mile

Weather & What to Pack The average weather for June in Las Vegas is 97 degrees. The weather is usually sunny and clear. This means we should pack clothing that will keep us cool such as a shorts, tank tops, and a swimsuit.

Where are we staying? Caesar's Palace on Las Vegas Blvd $200/night for two queen sized beds $200 x 2 nights + taxes & fees = $535

Where are we eating? Gordon Ramsay Steak @ Paris Hotel Herringbone @ The Aria Hotel

Gordon Ramsay’s Steak Gordon Ramsay is a famous celebrity chef. His steakhouse in Las Vegas is said to be one of the best in the world! They serve mostly steak but have plenty of other appetizers as well. Prices range from about $50-60 per plate

Herringbone Herringbone is a restaurant that is famous for their seafood! Ms. Monaco hates seafood but they also have steak, chicken, and pasta. Prices average about $20-30 per plate

What are we doing there? The Backstreet Boys Larger than Life Concert New York New York Roller Coaster Amusement Park Ride

Backstreet Boys Larger Than Life Ms. Monaco and Mrs. Rij love The Backstreet Boys so they are seeing them in concert! This concert will include all of their best hits from the 90s! Tickets are purchased for Monday, June 5th at 9:30pm Attire to should be semi-formal Tickets are $120 per ticket 2 tickets = $240

New York New York Roller Coaster Roller Coaster featured at New York New York Hotel that gives thrilling views of the entire Vegas strip. Tuesday afternoon Wear comfortable clothes. No hats or sunglasses because they will fall off! $15 per ride

This budget was based from our class averages from 3rd quarter. We did not exceed our budget and we had plenty of money leftover!
