Grade 4/5 Math The 4/5 curriculum covers the content of 6 Marking Periods. Students will cover 4 Marking periods of 4th grade math and 2 marking periods of 5th grade math in 4 marking periods. Rigor, Pacing, Independence, Reasoning/Flexible Thinking and Computation Selection for 4/5 Math is done in 3rd grade by teacher recommendation, completion of county-wide math problems and many other data points. 5/6 Math The 5/6 curriculum covers the content of 6 Marking Periods. Students will cover the other 2 marking periods of 5th grade math and then all 4 marking periods of 6th Grade math all in only 4 marking periods. Rigor, Pacing, Independence, Reasoning/Flexible Thinking and Computation Students who participated in the 4/5 math will be selected for 5/6 math. Note: In 9th Grade on grade level students can take Geometry and Algebra 2
