These are the 4 big objectives of this call, among which the emphasis is on making the digital transformation of society a reality for rural people and communities. Let's see together of what we are talking about..

Rural renaissance – 263M€ (2018-2020) From farm to society: understanding dynamics and modernising policies 4 Topics €60 mio Organising sustainable food and non-food value chains under changing conditions 5 Topics - €125 mio Taking advantage of the digital revolution 3 Topics - €37 mio (+2 topics €30 mio under ICT call) Boosting innovation and enhancing human and social capital 3 Topics - €41 mio Here you have, as for the SFS call, the share of budget and topics: Almost €100m will be invested in innovation in value chains, with a focus on the circular economy. This will be a source of opportunity for new businesses and industries improving welfare in rural areas. It will invest in further boosting knowledge exchange and innovation systems. The RUR call will also provide €60m of funding for projects which will help modernise policies to favour so-called generation renewal (i.e. getting more young people interested in farming and rural business in general), increased capacity to adapt to climate and socio-economic changes and better environmental protection. Last, but not least, Around €100m is dedicated to activities under both RUR and the ICT part of the work programme focused on the uptake and development of digital technologies and on exploring the impact of these changes to prepare for the future. Type of actions : RIA, IA, CSA
