The Natural Resources Recreation option in NRPI: managing and providing satisfying outdoor recreation opportunities today while protecting natural resources for tomorrow.

Recreation resource managers plan and manage some of the country's most scenic areas.

Classes in the Recreation option focus on four main areas: Visitors Resources Management Policy

Visitors Understand the recreation experience Understand problems that detract from visitor enjoyment Learn how to address those problems

Resources Understand the ecological nature of recreation resources Understand how human activities may impact resources

Management Learning when and how to apply direct and indirect management Address problems associated with recreational use Enhance the recreation experience of visitors

Policy Learn the laws and policies that govern parks, forests and other recreation areas Learn the roles of state and federal government agencies
