Setting The setting of the story takes place in California. Most of the main characters come from the high school. The main character notices something wrong with her household. When the secret is out the family unravels.

Protagonist The protagonist of the book is Darcy and the antagonist would be Brian. Darcy is a young intelligent high school student who is sexually attracted to Brian. Brian is a boy who Darcy dated and he tried to sexually assault her.

Secrets Darcy parents had been having problems but they would not tell her. She found out that the problem was money. She could help, but what she didn’t know was that it was far more than she expected.

Characters Darcy’s parents were relevant to the story because they were part of the central conflict throughout the story. Her sister was important because she saw her self in her which made her even more protective of her.

Reviews Summer of Secrets is a heart pounding story that people can relate to, do to some of the experiences she goes through in the book. My Opinion Summer of Secrets is a moving story on a young girls life. The book connects with real life human experiences, that can be felt by all types of readers. It has conflicts that draw you further into the book as you read it. Overall Summer of Secrets is a heart warming read that I recommend to anyone.
