ADA Paratransit Services Outside LA County As an Access rider, you may use ADA paratransit services outside Los Angeles County as a visitor. A visitor is anyone with a disability who does not reside in the jurisdiction(s) served by the transit agency, or by other transit agencies within a region with which the transit agency provides coordinated paratransit.
Access Policy for Visitors Complementary Visitor Service: During any 12-month period, Access Riders are entitled to a maximum of 21 days of riding privileges outside of Los Angeles County. The outside paratransit agency may require standard application requirements for service needs greater than 21 days.
How Does One Schedule ADA Visitor Paratransit Service? Plan Early: Riders who wish to use Visitor Paratransit Service are encouraged to start planning as soon as possible by contacting the ADA paratransit provider in the County they plan to visit. The local transit agency will guide riders to the outside ADA paratransit provider within the County they are visiting.

What information do I need to provide to Customer Service?
The name of the County you plan to visit. The dates you need transportation. The fax number of the ADA Paratransit agency within the County you are visiting.
I contact Customer Service? What happens after I contact Customer Service?
Customer Service will process your request and Access will fax your information within 48 hours to the ADA Paratransit agency. After 48 hours the customer can contact the ADA Paratransit agency to confirm that they received the visitor status.
Questions the customer should ask: What are the hours of operation? When can I call to book my ride? What is the phone number for reservations? How much will the trip cost? What are the visitor status procedures and policies?

Steps for Arranging Visitor Paratransit Service Contact Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) to confirm the reservation phone number, fax number, hours of operation and the fare Contact Access Customer Service and have them fax your eligibility information to OCTA Contact OCTA a second time to confirm that the eligibility information was received and obtain an ID number Contact Access LA Reservations and OCTA a day before to book the trips from the pick-up address to the connection point and the return trip with OCTA.
