Using Careerpilot in a 1:1 context with post 16 students

Purpose of session By the end of the session participants will: Be familiar with the parts of Careerpilot you can use when working in a one to one context; Have practiced how to use Careerpilot to offer 1:1 sessions; Have planned a process which will ensure best use of this intensive Careerpilot support; Have identified additional support which will help you in their role. How this fits with the aims of the SUN project, which students might this be targeted, possible numbers, possible time

The one to one sessions will be: With Y12/Y13 students on Level 3 courses For about 50 minutes (but will consider what to do if shorter) What you’ll need to carry out the role Training Process Observation/feedback

Case study of a one to one with a Y12 student Nick is interested in going to university to study computer science, specifically artificial intelligence. He would like to work for a big IT company like Google, etc. He plays the trombone and is in an orchestra. He uses computer science skills in his own time to create games.
