United we stand!

Luke 11:15-20 When Jesus had cast out a devil, some of the people said, ‘It is through Beelzebul, the prince of devils, that he casts out devils.’ Others asked him, as a test, for a sign from heaven; but, knowing what they were thinking, he said to them, ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is heading for ruin, and a household divided against itself collapses. So too with Satan: if he is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand?

What do we learn from this Gospel reading? When Jesus had cast out a devil, some of the people said, ‘It is through Beelzebul, the prince of devils, that he casts out devils.’ Others asked him, as a test, for a sign from heaven; but, knowing what they were thinking, he said to them, ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is heading for ruin, and a household divided against itself collapses. So too with Satan: if he is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? Watch me!

We are all unique and wonderful individuals but together we are also beautiful and strong. God created us all in his imagine and we are all equal in God’s eyes. Nobody is better than anyone else and if we stand united we can achieve anything. Your form group has been given a sheet of paper which shows that we are all one in the body of Christ. Pass the Sheet of paper around and all write your names in the body. You can then display this on your form boards as a reminder that ‘together we are stronger’.

Jesus said… May they all be one. Father, may they be one in us, as you are in me and I am in you, so that the world may believe that it was you who sent me. John 17: 20 – 21 Lord, Help us to remain unified and to see strength in our ‘togetherness’. Help us to follow your example and see love in everything and everyone around us. Amen
