4/16/07 BR- What is ΔΕΜΟΚΡΑΣΙ and where did it come from? Today: The Greeks Experiment With New Forms of Government There will be a reading quiz on Friday that covers chapters 8, 9, and 10. It will be 10 questions.

Simulation.. Get a piece of paper and sit with the group that has the same symbols. Each group represents a form of government. If your paper has the symbols in BOLD then you are in charge. You make the decisions for the group. Your group must decide the following issues. There is a time limit.

In your group you must decide the following issues Where will your group go to lunch today? (my treat!) Choose the movie that we will watch tomorrow. If we could play one CD for the rest of the year what would it be? I am going to give your group $100,000. How will you spend it? One of the other groups may be threatening to take your money what will you do?

Questions Were you happy with the decisions of the group? How easy was it to make a decision? 3. Did you feel left out? 4. Was this a fair way to make a decision? 5. Did you like how decisions were made in your group? 6. What form of government do you think your group was?
