New on NASA Wavelength 1 2 Featured Lists Blog When you go to Wavelength, you’ll notice 2 of our newest features: 1) featured lists on the home page, and 2) new blog launched Friday, March 15. Link to blog at bottom of home page, or from anywhere in Wavelength using link to Blog in top navigation bar. 2

Banner for Lists connects to this page, which explains how and why you would create lists of resources – collections within NASA Wavelength that can be public or private.

1. Register and create a profile – just need an email to create a profile. 2. Create custom lists for specific audiences or events (e.g., this banner linked to list for American Camp Association Workshop). 3. Start a list by finding a resource in the collection. Click “Add to List Button” – walks through creating a new list or adding to an existing list. Three featured lists are shown on home page; coming soon – landing page to browse lists by profile name 1 2 These are the steps for creating your own lists…Start by creating a profile – click “Register” in top right of any page in Wavelength. Can create a profile using an email address login using social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Google). You can create multiple profiles (just need a separate email for each profile) – for your mission and can then create and share lists under that profile. Note that the banner shown above for Camps is no longer a banner on the home page (it was created for American Camp Association meeting), but the list is still available at permanent URL assigned when list was created, and can be shared using social media and email. 3

4. Resources that have been added to a list show which lists they are in as part of their Wavelength record. Individual resources records in Wavelength show whether a resource has been included in a list. Currently we have: 280 users (incl. our administration and test accts) 175 lists (incl any test lists we may have created), both public (120) and private (55) You can click on the list or the user profile (to see what other lists this profile has created – see next slide for sample public profile for NASAWavelength 4

4 Sample Public Profile page Once logged in (see your profile name and thumbnail in top right) you can click on profile name to get to your profile page, which shows all the public lists you have created. 4

Each list has its own URL assigned when list is created Each list has its own URL assigned when list is created. For list shown here: nasawavelength.org/list/283 Ability to make your lists public or private. Can include outside URLs in lists – these are marked as not part of the reviewed collection. Share your list through social media, email, or create a PDF (top right) Landing page coming soon where users can browse and search lists.
