addiction Done By: Fatimah Al Qallaf

Definition:- Individuals who gain a sense of happiness and comfort when intoxicated or euphoric due to the consumption of drugs or alcohol are what we can confidently classify as addicts.

Each and every person suffering from addiction has got their own reasons and story as to how and why they reached this state in which they find difficult to overcome.

Causes:- family history and background. genetics but only by a very small percentage environment and childhood traumas . inability of the individual to cope with stress effectively (social stress, emotional stress, anxiety, depression and so on). lack of education about it

Isolation Side effects of addiction:- addicted people stops engaging in activities they used to enjoy in order to spend time getting high

Behavior People who were once shy may become outgoing and those who were generally happy may exhibit signs of depression

Appearance Recognizable side effects of drug abuse are seen in the appearance of drug users who do not bath or keep themselves groomed .

Opiates   Physical side effects from opiate use, which includes heroin and morphine, are pin-sized pupils, slurred speech, lethargy and nodding off at all times.

Stimulants   Stimulants such as cocaine produce side effects that include restlessness, increased blood pressure and weight loss.

-There are many reasons behind addiction, to kill the addiction, tackle the reason the addict started in the first place and help them through rehabilitation Treatment:

In my opinion : In conclusion: In our life many people become addicted for many reasons ; bad friends or lack of control over self, and other reasons as we mentioned. In my opinion : Our job towards the addicts is divided to two parts : The people who still addict , we have to try to help them to get help by going to Rehabilitation centers and support them all the way , and try to make them understand that they are living in delusion. .

The people who was addict , and now trying to make a new life for them , we have to encourage them and not to label them as addict ,because in the end we are all humans make mistakes
