A Godly Attitude 2 Samuel 7 & 1 Chronicles 17

David’s devotion to God. God had blessed David with safety. David was concerned about the ark of God. He had the approval of the prophet.

God’s blessing to David. David was not the right man to build the temple. God would make him famous. God would give them peace. God would build David’s house.

David’s gratitude to God. David had a humble heart. David thanked and praised God. David accepted God’s blessing. David was encouraged by God.

What does that mean to me? Weekly memory verse: 1 Chronicles 17:20 “There is none like you, O LORD, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.’”

I should be fully devoted to God. I should trust God with my security. I should be more concerned about God than myself.

God is in control. Sometimes I am not the right person for the job. God wants to bless His faithful servants.

I should have a heart of gratitude. I should to take criticism gracefully. I should be thankful! I should accept God’s will for my life. I should be encouraged in God!
