Learning Objectives After attending this lecture, students are expected to: Describe the morphology and characteristics of different stages of plasmodium. Explain the mechanism of infection. Describe the clinical manifestations of malaria. Explain the methods used in diagnosing malaria and perform a blood test (thick and thin smear). Describe the treatment regiments of malaria. Describe the geographical distribution, epidemiology and environmental factors that affects malaria, especially in Indonesia.
