Job roles for the children's shoe brief

Lighting technician Department: film and lighting specialist lighting companies job is moving from one section or department of the company to another, getting to know electrical maintenance, batteries, electronics and dimmers, as well as the electrical installation of the building. Their work involves tasks like testing machines and fault-finding; cleaning, repairing, and maintaining equipment; fixing distribution boards and boxes, and lights; and wiring dimmers and circuit boards.

Costume director Department: costume, fashion and textiles Costume Assistants may help to break down the script into costume plots and detail costume requirements and changes in the continuity book. They may also carry out research for the Costume Designer into the styles, designs and construction methods suitable for the time period. They help to organise the costume department, ordering supplies and assisting in setting up any workrooms needed for productions. They take artists' measurements, and may also help with making costumes, including pattern cutting, ageing and distressing, etc.

Health and safety advisor Department: health and safety Health and Safety Advisors or consultants give advice and guidance to help set up health and safety management systems, procedures and policies across the film industry. It is not the Advisors' role to manage health and safety systems within a film production. Their job is to make sure that the appropriate people on the production team have the right information and training to manage their own health and safety.
