Last week What key legislations did we look at last week?

Directed task - Policies What other policies did you identify which relate to equality and diversity? Why? How does it represent equality? How is diversity involved? How is it evident in practice?

Paired activity Look at the literature/guidance. What does it say in relation to equality and diversity EYFS OFSTED Every child matters Pre-school learning alliance Department of Education Present to the rest of the group

Group task Get into groups if possible with similar areas of focus for your audit: For example: Disability/SEN Parents Staff Environment/resources

Discuss What you are auditing? Relevance to your practice/context? How it relates to equality and diversity? Legislations which relate to your area Policies, why and how? Intentions Share your audit format and give each other feedback

Evidence What evidence would support your audit and what activity will you plan and carry out What impact do you intend the activity to have?

Case studies In 4 groups work through the case study examples in relation to equality and diversity. Discuss as whole group

Learning outcome 1 Individually bullet point key things you will include in learning outcome 1 - your essay
