Family Business Charter Whilst working in a family business can be rewarding, it can often be challenging too. Creating a family business charter is a great way of agreeing a way of working to set the foundations of your organisation and streamline the decision making, this in turn will make the process less emotive. Agreeing key fundamentals that include your family’s and business’ values will help pave the way for a more efficient business and help guide you through when transitioning from one generation to another. Of course, the key to a successful charter is ensuring that all the business family members agree to its principals and are the commitment to enforcing it.
