Unit 3 Looking good, feeling good Welcome to the Unit

Lead-in

Lead-in Do you think appearance plays an important part in your life? Can we change our appearance by wearing different clothes? In your opinion, is a person’s ability judged by their appearance? Which do you think is more important, looking good or feeling good?

Everyone wants to be healthy and attractive. Everyone wants to feel good and look good. Now there are four pictures representing four different people’s states of mind. Can you make up a story or a dialogue that fits each picture? You can follow the example. I will give you four minutes. Then I will call some of you to act out your work.

Example extremely happy, because she has been admitted Jane is a high school student and she is extremely happy, because she has been admitted to the university she wanted to go to. Tonight her parents will hold a party to celebrate her success and achievements and all her friends and relatives are invited to share her happiness.

She is constantly worried about being too fat. Now she has spent at least half an hour selecting clothes without success.
