Breakthrough 2009 Dominion expansion

Dominion expansion Isaiah 54:2-4 (NIV) "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. [3] For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. [4] "Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.

Enlarge Your vision Isaiah 54:2-4 (NIV) "Enlarge the place of your tent, Begin with breakthrough in our thinking; we must believe we can breakthrough! Philip. 4:13 (NKJV) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 1 Cor. 16:9 For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. Mark 10:27 But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.“ Illus: circus elephants. Able to be controlled by a very small leash. When baby, chained to a big tree. It pulls and pulls because it wasn’t born to be chained. But the moment will come when the spirit is broken and it accepts the chain. Then it can be confined by the smallest of ropes. Num 13:Caleb “lets go up at once” but the rest are afraid of giants that never materialized

Enlarge Your vision Acts 6:7 (NKJV) Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith. Psalm 2:8 Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession. 2 Samuel 5:20 (NIV) So David went to Baal Perazim, and there he defeated them. He said, "As waters break out, the Lord has broken out against my enemies before me." So that place was called Baal Perazim. Illus: circus elephants.

Stretch your commitment Isaiah 54:2-4 (NIV) "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; Commit to do more, commit to do better! It will involve some pain! The man told his doctor that he wasn’t able to do all the things around the house that he used to do. When the examination was complete, he said, "Now, Doc, I can take it. Tell me in plain English what is wrong with me." "Well, in plain English," the doctor replied, "you’re just lazy." "Okay," said the man. "Now give me the medical term so I can tell my wife." Two hunters got a pilot to fly them into the far north for elk hunting. They were quite successful in their venture and bagged six big bucks. The pilot came back, as arranged, to pick them up. They started loading their gear into the plane, including the six elk. But the pilot objected and he said, "The plane can only take four of your elk; you will have to leave two behind." They argued with him; the year before they had shot six and the pilot had allowed them to put all aboard. The plane was the same model and capacity. Reluctantly, the pilot finally permitted them to put all six aboard. But when the attempted to take off and leave the valley, the little plane could not make it and they crashed into the wilderness. Climbing out of the wreckage, one hunter said to the other, "Do you know where we are?" "I think so," replied the other hunter. "This is just about the same place where we crashed last year.“ Stretching has the tendency to cause pain. When you stretch you are working a certain set of muscles. So in order for us to stretch ourselves to what God asks us to become, it’s going to require some pain on our part both as a church and personally as well. You expand your influence by expanding your capacity. Stretch your commitment. It’s like muscles. Do you know how you make a muscle stronger? You have to tear down some of the cells by over-committing your muscle.

Defer gratification Isaiah 54:2-4 (NIV) "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, Heb.: “arak”; to be (causative make) long (literal or figurative) :- defer, draw out, lengthen, (be, become, make, pro-) long, + (out-, over-) live, tarry (long). 2 ways to wait: With complaining and murmuring With declaration and confession of faith

Strengthen your resolve Isaiah 54:2-4 (NIV) "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. Exodus 1:12 (NKJV) But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel. Micah 2:13 (NKJV) The one who breaks open will come up before them; They will break out, Pass through the gate, And go out by it; Their king will pass before them, With the Lord at their head.”

Prosper and possess Isaiah 54:2-4 (NIV) [3] For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. That is reclaiming lost territories or gaining new ones! Adjust your expectations! 1 Kings 18:41-45 (NIV) And Elijah said to Ahab, "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain." [42] So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees.

Prosper and possess [43] "Go and look toward the sea," he told his servant. And he went up and looked. "There is nothing there," he said. Seven times Elijah said, "Go back.“ [44] The seventh time the servant reported, "A cloud as small as a man's hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, "Go and tell Ahab, 'Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.' “ [45] Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain came on and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.

Fear not! Isaiah 54:2-4 (NIV) [4] "Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
