P4 Radiation Levels ~2-6x105cm-2 at PLC location TS TS TS ~1-3x105cm-2 at PLC location 2nd Failure 1st Failure Vacuum activity higher after TS and with higher intensity -> long-term study important

P4 Radiation Levels Beam-Gas Interactions (levels decrease fast) Up to 1mGy/s Beam-Gas Interactions (levels decrease fast) New installed BLMs have noise, but fills are nicely visible 1mGy/s versus RadMon readings -> analysis ongoing

P4 PLC Considerations Failures occurred during beam-on, in a period when the UX45 RadMons counted Radiation levels still very low at location of the PLC (~a few years of surface equivalent) Failure signature compatible with SEU, 2nd failure observed in same location; radiation test could confirm high sensitivity Additional monitoring was installed during the last TS (many thanks to BLM and RadMon teams!) to evaluate mid/long-term radiation evolution (25ns!) Most exposed equipment is in UX45 and relocation requirements are to be evaluated
