PACS Photometer – Open issues until end-of-He Software Slicing of scan map data: To be removed from SPG Remove Level 0.5 step (also avoids duplication of task execution) Offer optional slicing for IA processing (to be documented) → improves performance if processing is parallelised (IPAC) Error maps: photCoverage2Noise - not directly applicable to Parallel Mode observations Mad Map Optimisation of preprocessing for Mad Map Combination of more than only two OBSIDs for L2.5 → improved S/N feeds back into better HPF masks for L1 → L2 processing Consistent transition from “2nd order deglitching” to “MapDeglitch” (mapindex) Progress on robust point source extraction and PSF fitting / photometry Clean-up of (ipipe) scripts Is the implementation of a Scanamorphos-like processing in HIPE still realistic? → How much FTEs will be available for developing/maintaining PACS-P code?
