Preparing Students For Professional Programs Most professional programs require students to earn a Bachelor’s degree first Pharmacy is the main exception Some dental, medical, and optometry programs will accept exceptional students after 3 years Students can major in anything to prepare! There is no “pre-med” or “pre-law” major There are courses (prerequisites) students must take to be eligible for admission to professional programs Encourage them to choose a major they will enjoy, perform well in, and that will provide them with a satisfying career as an alternate option.
