The Pasadena Public Library On one field trip we went to a library and it was awesome I learned about the Sydney Opera House and looked at many other books.

Pyramid One wonderful day at Encounters are teacher Mrs. Reed said that we were going to make pyramids out of 12 straws and 12-20 paper clips I was shocked at first but it ended up being pretty easy.

Cube What has 6 faces, 8 vertices, and 12 edges? A cube! One day at Encounters we got to build a cube out of 20 straws, paper clips, and books.

Columns There are many types of buildings an many types of texture. But do you know what makes those buildings? Columns! We can learn the different types of columns like Doric, Corinthian, Roman, and Ionic. The things you need are a roll of cardstock, clay, and a flat surface.

Columns At Encounters we made a 3D paper column that had to be the same color then we folded it and made the column.

The trip to Down Town Houston At Encounters we went on a field trip to Down Town Houston is was really fun we learned about a house that had been relocated to there very own park. We saw houses’ with different designs and different sizes. And the best part of all a duck followed us every where we went.

Penny Bridge One day at Encounters we made a bridge made out of paper I thought it was going to be easy but no. Our bridge had to hold at least 50 penny’s!!! I ended up doing it which was a great accomplishment .

Ginger Bread House! You know how almost every little boy or girl would love to build a Ginger Bread House. Well at Encounters you can! We made our Ginger Bread House out of… - Frosting, Gum Drops, M&M’s, Food Coloring, Twirlers, a box, and Graham Crackers. It was amazing.

The Children's Museum The Children's Museum was absolutely positively awesome. My absolute favorite station was the Invention Convention. The Invention Convention was were you make a Rocket or something else creative it was as fun as the pool.

The Christmas Pageant One day we went on a field trip to Down Town to see a play called The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It was hilarious I literally popped out of my seat like a piece of popcorn in a popcorn machine.

Eiffel Tower There is a special building is Paris, France called the Eiffel Tower well in Encounters we made one but just a miniature one.

Dome At Encounters we made a candy Dome it was really hard because it had to be at the perfect angle so it could stand up. It was a very interesting time .
