VISION Children and families in Beaumont have the support they need to thrive and succeed MISSION The Beaumont ECD Coalition is Diverse, Inclusive and Innovative GOALS The Beaumont ECD Coalition strives to promote awareness of ECD through collaboration to influence positive change The Vision, Mission and Goals have been developed by the ECD Coalition for alignment in the practise of developing a framework.

The Beaumont Early Childhood Coalition believes that in order to raise a child many essential elements need to be considered: Pre-natal supports Post-natal supports including immunization Municipal commitment and collaboration Nurturing environments Cross Ministry collaboration between Health, Human Services and Education The Beaumont Early Childhood Coalition has been in existence for almost 8 years which makes it one of the longest in existence ECD Coalitions in the province. Prenatal Supports and Post Natal Immunization are essential for healthy living and a well informed medical life long journey. Municipal Dedication and Collaboration is the true meaning of a Village Raising a Village. Thanks to The Town of Beaumont for being Innovative Nurturing Environments are when families feel connected, confident and safe Cross Ministry - ECCA Early Childhood Coalition Association

FRAMEWORK The Early Childhood Development Framework is: A roadmap for where we want to go Guides decision making Set future direction Identifies important connections Supports alignments of policies and practices Identifies shifts, changes, successes and challenges in what is already in place Most of the initial work in this project has been creating an solid understanding of what a FRAME WORK is. Given the changes in the economy and general population of the Town of Beaumont the Framework project is almost like a LIVING DOCUMENT. Beaumont is a very progressive community who are generally interested in evidence based principles and the engagement process.

WHAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE Increased knowledge and awareness of ECD Motivation and inspiration for all Availability and accessibility of services for all Increased healthy lifestyle behaviours for all Healthy and nutritious eating Increased number of children ready to learn when beginning school A vibrant village ready to raise a child Our goal is to be as diverse in our work as possible. We have been targeting some usual suspects and have been pleasantly surprised at their by in, of the importance of The Early Years. The needs assessment as a real booster!
