Summary of Chapter 4 Equations

Basic Fluid Flow Equations Book Bernoulli “Momentum Equation” is actually the Energy Equation for incompressible fluid flow (as derived in class)

Viscous Effects Laminar Boundary Layer Drag

Viscous Effects Turbulent Boundary Layer Drag Whenever a Boundary Layer encounters an adverse pressure gradient (pressure increasing with distance), it can readily separate from the surface causing decrease in lift, increase in drag, leading to stall (discussed in detail in Chaper 5)
