The Basics This presentation shows both new and seasoned members what is involved in federal tax filing if your club has less than $50,000 in annual GROSS receipts Every club MUST do this yearly within 5 months of the close of your fiscal year. If not done once in past 3 years, club can lose its federal tax-exempt status

Starting Out Go to www.irs.gov/Filing/Charities-&-Non-Profits - Click e-file for Charities and Non-Profits

Next Screen Click on See e-postcard (Form 990-N) link

A Key Screen Access to: e-postcard filing program what information you need for filing public disclosure – viewing and downloading e-postcard filings

Access to Filing Software

Info You Need to Gather Click here to get the eight items needed found further down on same page. Here are the items.

Back to Filing…. Clicking link in How to File box brings you here which will take you to the filing site – click on Leave IRS Site
