Belianska cave Adela Kaminská 2.B

SOMething about it It’s the largest cave in the Tatra National Park The cave is among the national natural monuments. The tour takes around 70 minutes 3.5 kilometres long 860 stairs

history Cave was used by pre-historic people Entrances known by gold miners in 18th century Discovered by Július Husz and Johan Britz in 1881 Open to public in 1882 Electrically lit since 1896 - the first one in Europe

Interesting parts of the cave Stalagmite which looks like the Leaning Tower of Pisa “Music Hall“ – because of the sound of drops falling into the lake “White Column“, “White Pagoda“ Wall waterfalls – beautiful natural sights
