Main Fashion Designer’s Knowledge For a fashion designer, everyday could feel like a challenge. You need to be very good with colour coding and think of designs that are pretty, but at the same time comfortable, and also make sure that people would like this design. (usually need to be “on the trend”) You also always need to think of what kind of fabric you would want to use, what style you would like it to be (like how to cut them) and most importantly, you need to know what season it is worn for. Once the designing part is finished you need to start making the actual design. Since it is the designer’s first time making this design, they usually try on a cotton fabric called “muslin” and is also known as a test fabric. When you actually start designing your “design” there is a high chance of you poking yourself with a needle (by accident) while working on it. In this case you MUST take the blood out or else you can get an infection.

Organizations of workers The organization of workers goes like this; There is the fashion designer/maker, A “supervisor” that watches, And you also need a person who will test your clothing’s out to see if it looks pretty (like the colour coding etc.) and if it is comfortable.

Skills The skills you would need to design clothes, is that you need to be able to sketch a dress. Technology has impacted this part. Some people choose to have their design sketched “through technology”. You also need good sewing skills too.
