More than 35 years ago I became involved in coaching wheelchair sports More than 35 years ago I became involved in coaching wheelchair sports. As I watched the athletes competing in old heavy folding chairs, I knew I could build something better. I had a technical and mechanical background and I knew how to weld. I started Eagle Sportschairs in the basement of my house. Still located on my property in Snellville the factory has been under my sole ownership since day one. We are bigger and the technology has changed quite a bit over the years, but I still spend my days trying to build a better, faster sportschair.
