(Indian Space Research Organization) ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) Presented By: Shashank Chaudhary

ABOUT ISRO was formed in 1969. ISRO was established by India’s first Prime Minister PT. Jawaharlal Nehru. ISRO built India’s first satellite called ARYABHATA.

Launch Vehicle Fleet Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV). Augmented Satellite Launch Vehicle (ASLV). Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV). Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark-III (GSLV III) (Under Development).

Satellite programmes The INSAT (Indian National Satellite System) series. The IRS (Indian Remote Sensing) series. Radar Imaging Satellites. GAGAN (GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation) satellite navigation system. IRNSS (Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System) satellite navigation system.

India’s First Satellite… India launched it’s first satellite Aryabhata in 1975 from Kapustin Yar. Named after the great Indian astronomer of the same name. Aryabhata was built to conduct X-ray astronomy, aeronomics, and solar physics.

Mars Orbiter Mission  The Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), also called Mangalyaan "Mars-craft" is a Mars orbiter launched into Earth orbit on 5 November 2013 by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).  It was successfully inserted into orbit of Mars on 24 September 2014, making India the first country in the world to successfully send a spacecraft to Mars on its very first attempt.

Amazing facts About MOM Cheapest mars mission ever. Developed and deployed in 15 months. No country has ever had successful mars mission in its first attempt. India is the country which made it in its first attempt. NASA extended incredible support to this mission. Objective is to find methane and water in Martian atmosphere.

Facts About ISRO ISRO is one of the six space agencies in the world with the capability to build and launch satellites from its own soil. ISRO’s last 40 years expenditure is about half of NASA’s single year budget. ISRO is planning a mission to Venus by May 2017 to study its atmosphere. ISRO successfully launched 104 satellites in a single mission setting a world record of launching the most satellites at one go.
