What is Globalization? It is the process of international integration arising from the interchange of world views, products, ideas, and other aspects of culture. 2

Kinds of global problems in Poland: -social-economic -political -ecological -cultural 3

Social-economic problems: -corruption -unemployment -migration -diseases (Sars,AIDS etc.) -demographic upland 4

Political: - terrorism -conflicts in the Government -Smolensk disaster -conflict with Russia 5

Ecological: -air pollution -water pollution -ozone hole -the extirpating of the trees 6

POLLUTION PROBLEMS AND IT’S DESTRUCTIONS The world economy developes with the expense of the environment. Cutting down and parching forests, the opencast mining, fishing and hunting -that all is disturbing the balance of the environment. 7

A next stage is converting resources into final products, i. e A next stage is converting resources into final products, i.e. poisoning the environment by factories with smokes, fumes, sewers which are being accompanied to rivers and seas, industrial waste. Because of that a contamination of air is taking place, waters, acid rains are falling (for example in Plock, where the known concern processing petroleum is, once to the ground sulphur turned up unexpectedly). 8

An effect of the ozone hole is appearing, greenhouse, soil degradation, making cultivated lands barren. Living conditions of the man are deteriorating, a medical condition of the population inhabiting polluted areas is deteriorating (it is taking place e.g. in Poland, in the area of Upper Silesia). 9

Cultural: - illiteracy (inability to read and of writing) -no identity -laziness societies 10
