Jupiter By Sami Swogger May 23,2012

Characteristics Biggest planet in our solar system. 5th planet from the sun. Outer planet (on other side of asteroid belt ) .

Characteristics Has a thick, cloudy atmosphere that reflects sunlight.

Moons 63 moons, all a different orbit. Four biggest moons: lo, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. Ganymede is the biggest moon in our solar system. Lo has eruptions. Europa is named after a Roman goddess and the first queen, married to Jupiter.

Comparisons and Differences Earth has 1 moon and Jupiter has 63 moons Both have helium in atmosphere. Europa is smaller than our moon.

Comparing Gases Between Jupiter and Earth's atmosphere Earth = nitrogen, oxygen, argon, neon, helium, krypton, co2, h2o, methane, & nitrogen oxides. Jupiter = hydrogen, helium, and sulfur.

Fun Facts Great Red Spot is a storm on Jupiter Also known as Zeus, or the Roman King of Gods. If you're 10, 11, or 12 years old on Earth, you're 10, 11, or 12 months on Jupiter.

Reflection Do you think Jupiter's awesome? Do you think we'll live there? If so, how will you live there?

Thanks for watching Sami's Slide Show!!!!
