A letter to Santa Claus

The Christmas fairy –tale              Hello, dear Santa!  I want to congratulate you with a Merry Christmas! I wish you all the best in a New Year! Be always healthy, wealthy and … very kind!  …Dear Santa, let me remind you one unusual story…

Once upon a time there lived a little girl Once upon a time there lived a little girl. She lived with her father and her stepmother. The girl was very unhappy, because her stepmother didn’t like holidays. They celebrated neither Christmas nor other holidays. Of course the girl didn’t know who was Santa. So, when in one of the Christmas Eve she heard a strange noise on the attic of their house, she went upstairs and saw an old man in strange clothes, she was very surprised. She asked   the stranger what he was doing in their attic. Santa, of course, it was he, said that he had come to make a wonder there. The girl said that there were no wonders in the world, and she didn’t believe in them. Santa asked her to go to bed and wait till morning.

So, next morning when the girl woke up she didn’t believe her eyes So, next morning when the girl woke up she didn’t believe her eyes. There was a beautiful X-mas tree in the middle of the living room, under the X-mas tree there were a lot of toys and sweets. And the rooms were decorated with the lights and ornaments. And what was even more incredible, a beautiful large doll, which she had never seen before, sat at the table! The girl and her dad were very happy, but when they began to look for the stepmother, they couldn’t find her anywhere. And nobody had seen her since then.

And the girl and her father began to celebrate Christmas every year!

This story was told me by my grandma This story was told me by my grandma. She said that girl was my grand grandmother.

Dear Santa, thanks a lot for the fairy-tale which you gave to my grand grandmother and always gives to all children in the world!      Love always, your friend Irina!

P.S. By the way, the shoe, in which Santa Claus put some lollipops for my grand grandmother, became our family relic.
