Visit Seoul! Apgujeong Rodeo Street

INTRO  Apgujeong is Seoul's luxury fashion mecca. And in the center of Apgujeong's fashion world is Rodeo Street. The name and concept of Apgujeong's Rodeo Street takes after the Beverly Hill fashion street, Rodeo Drive. It's where fashion can be met first and on a daily basis, and where new trends and culture can be experienced. 

There are two main shopping centers including galleria department store and ehyundai department store. Past the archway is a multitude of shops, both featuring fashion from Korean brands and international designer labels. Shopping ranges from the extremely affordable to luxury labels. If you cannot find the way then please visit the Gangnam Tourist Information Center. It will be helpful to your travel.

  As you take the exit 2 from the Apgujeong Rodeo Station, you can find GangnamDol, indicating that you have arrived at the K-Star Road. GangnamDol is a compound word of ‘Gangnam’, ‘idol, and ‘doll’. It is a symbolic sculpture of the K-Star Road, with the symbolic images of the famous K-pop groups printed on the human-scale bear doll. K-STAR ROAD

  K-STAR ROAD It took about two years to establish the K-Star Road. There is a 3-meter-tall PSY GangnamDol in front of the Galleria Department Store, and seventeen more GangnamDols of Super Junior, EXO, Girl’s Generation, and Bangtan Boys are located.

JYP ENTERTAINMENT If you have finished seeing Block B’s GangnamDol, the last GangnamDol of K-Star Road, take a walk into the Cheongdam-dong alley along the Apgujeong-ro 79 street. You may find a familiar sign as you walk in about 300 meters through the narrow alley. This is the JYP Entertainment headquarters, where 2PM, Miss A, and Get 7 belong to. Since the exterior is decorated with the JYP artists’ pictures, it is easy to find the building even from far away.

K-food You can easily enjoy korea traditional food like kimchi stew and doenjang stew. I specially recommend the restraunt’ chengdamgol’,where serves meal with a bowl of rice, soup, and side dishes. Enjoy tour trip with your friends!
