Conclusions: An Introduction

What’s the Point? Transition back to their daily lives From the world of the essay/topic BACK to the real world Show why all your analysis and information should matter to them after they put the paper down. Thesis Importance of topic in the world

Conclusion: In Two Parts The concluding paragraph typically has two parts: 1. The summary statement 1-2 sentences which restate the thesis in a fresh way 2. The clincher Final thought which should create a lasting impression on the reader.

Examples Thesis Statement: Many Americans are buying the Toyota Corolla because of its competitive price, fuel economy, and high resale value. Summary Statement: Reasonable pricing, high miles per gallon, and an attractive resale value have all contributed to the popularity of the Toyota Corolla in today's market.

Example 2 Thesis: The AHS administration can help reduce issues caused by poor student diets by banning the sale of Mountain Dew. Summary Statement: While there are many potential solutions to the bullying & harrassment caused by poor student diets, the easiest and most feasible is to stop the sale of Mountain Dew.
