Alternative strategy adopted for expansion of soil testing services Based on soil fertility survey of all Panchayat Samittees of the state the village wise soil fertility status have been uploaded on departmental website i.e. www Krishi.rajasthan.gov.in   Distribution of 52.50 lac Village level Soil Health and Package of Practice Cards- 100 copies in each village   fertility Status uploaded on Department Website- village wise fertility status of 38091 villages have been uploaded on Rajasthankrishi.gov.in Panchayat Sammittee wise Soil Fertility Maps were digitalized and developed on sun board. Approximately 100 copies of such maps were distributed in each block for its depiction at important places. District wise soil fertility maps- District wise soil fertility maps were developed by SRSAC, Jodhpur and 10 framed copies have been sent to each district for presentation and propagation of soil test and its recommendations. Expansion of soil testing services through PPP mode

Soil Health Card Scheme An Extensive Scheme for Distribution of Soil Health Cards to Every Land Holding

Soil Health Card Scheme Vision: Swasth Dhara, Khet Haraa Period: At every three years  Proposed Activities: Collection of soil samples- Irrigated areas- one sample at 2.5 ha unit area Unirrigated areas- One sample at 10.0 ha unit area Analysis of samples- for major nutrients, Sulphur & cationic micronutrients Scope- One third area of state every year Average sample load each year is around 9.82 lac and 23 lac soil health cards. Total soil samples proposed 29.47 lac and around 70 lac soil health cards.

Proposed procedure Soil sample collection as per norms through Krishi Mitra’s on job basis per sample Selection of Krishi Mitra- under ATMA scheme Sending of soil samples to lab- through Krishi Mitra Analysis- Departmental soil laboratories Through outsourcing of 14 PPP labs and 55 new soil labs Preparation of soil health cards- by respective labs Distribution- through Krishi Mitra under supervision of field functioneries Land holding wise data recording on computers

Proposed outcome Region wise estimation of soil fertility status Estimation of required inputs. Reduce per unit cost of production, quality of produce Awareness about precision farming. Opportunity to improve Fertilizer Use Efficiency

Scheme Components Land holding wise soil sample collection One sample from 2.5 ha unit area in irrigated areas and 10 ha unit in un-irrigated areas Analysis of soil samples Distribution of soil health cards

Collection of soil samples Samples on unit area basis Sample unit area- irrigated area-2.5 ha un-irrigated area- 10 ha Cards will be provided to other holdings falls in the sample unit area. Major Farmer- the land holding , where the sample is being lifted Associated farmer- other holdings falls in sample unit area

Analysis of Soil Samples Samples will be tested for pH, Ec, Organic carbon, Available Phosphorous, Potash, Sulphur and available Zinc, Iron, Copper and Manganese and recommendations will be made for major crops through soil health cards. Arrangements for analysis & Departmental soil testing labs Outsourcing of 14 PPP labs and 55 new soil labs

Distribution of Soil Health Cards Computerized soil health cards. Recommendations for major Kharif and Rabi crops. Laminated Soil Health Cards.

Soil Health Management . Soil Testing Programme Development of state level soil testing lab for technical enrichment. On line balance nutrient recommendation for crops through Soil Health Cards. Initiative: Establishment of 55 new soil testing labs in order to cover all land holdings at least ones in3years . Reclamation of Alkali Soils Reclamation programme through use of Gypsum Improving productivity through Green Manuring . Integrated Nutrient Management Biofertilizers- to supplement and increase efficiency of applied nutrients Micronutrients- to address deficiencies of micro nutrients and improve productivity . Enhanced use of Organic manures Increasing availability of organic manure
