Chromatic Scale

Major Scale (Diatonic means ‘in a key’)

Melodic Minor Scale Note the difference between ascending and descending. Don’t forget to take into account the accidentals from the key signature.

Harmonic Minor Scale Don’t forget to take into account the accidentals from the key signature.

Example of a Mode The interval of a tone between note 7 and 8 is the most distinctive feature in modes.
