Girls in ICTs 2017 Events in Europe Girls in ICT Events were organized in at least 37 countries EXAMPLES Girls in ICT Stockholm 2017 (Inicio & EIT Digital), hands-on workshops on electronics and smart cities, role models and a mini- fair for 100 girls Girl Tech Fest Brussels 2017, (Digital Leadership Institute): over 100 activities reaching 250 participants, encouraging girls toward study and career paths in ESTEAM: STEM plus Entrepreneurship and Arts Girls in ICT Serbia (Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications), award ceremony for blogging competition, Minecraft workshop STEM in the City Milan (Municipality of Milan), 84 activities throughout April - public events, training activities, role models, hackathons reaching over 3000 participants ICT Go Girls (CESGA, Spain): Virtual conference, demonstrations of 3D printing, robotics, Virtual Reality, coding classes, Pixel art, guided tour at the Centre Gender Centre: Girls in ICT (Bosnia and Herzegovina), jointly with Lanaco and Innovation Centre Banja Luka, award show for competition on developing ICT solutions for the challenges in the local communities, workshops, conference with motivational speakers Microsoft’s DigiGirlz events in 11 European countries & Cisco’s GirlsPowerTech in 13 countries Girls’ Day celebrations: Germany (over 100.000 girls), the Netherlands (11.000 girls), Slovakia (over 1.000 girls) 2 International Girls in ICT Day 2018 will be observed on 26 April 2018.
Digital Youth Forum The Digital Youth Forum held in Warsaw, Poland on 25 May 2017 500+ youth (14–17 years old) More than 30 schools connected remotely Exposition focusing on digital skills and digital opportunities Operation Uncool Launched 200+ respondents to the query supporting open consultation for the purposes of the ITU Council Working Group on Child Online Protection 3

Ongoing Projects 2017 mhealth Hub for Europe National CIRT Establishment for Cyprus Project signed in December 2016 Design mission conducted in May Design document submission in July Implementation in progress Implementation mission with training in September 2017 Project to close in March 2018 mhealth Hub for Europe ITU Europe team attended the e- health week held in Malta in May 2017 where meetings were held with WHO and other stakeholders. Expression of Interest document being finalized with WHO and EU in July Roadshows planned for Brussels, Copenhagen, and Estonia between June and October. RFP in late 2017
