JMR Soccer: Expectations and Philosophy 2015 Season
Philosophy Soccer players will possess the drive, desire, and determination to be the best and to succeed at the highest level possible, ethics that will be on display on the field, in the classroom, on the bus, at home, and in the community. The team philosophy must be memorized by all players by next practice.
Expectations Soccer plays will be Leaders in the school Driven athletes Respectful in interactions with coach, players Positive, enthusiastic On the field by 3:45pm warming up
Tryouts Day 1 Stretches Running Sprints Drills Passing relay Fighting roosters and/or snatch
Tryouts Day 2 Stretches Running Sprints Drills Shooting Short scrimmages The first cut will be posted on my website (mrbeary.wordpress.com) by 8pm Tuesday evening.
Tryouts Day 3 Stretches Running Sprints Drills Shooting Full scrimmages The final cut will be posted on my website by 8pm Wednesday evening.
What Am I Looking For? Character and coachability Leadership, responsibility, and maturity Athletic talent (endurance, speed)
Practice Schedule Monday – 3:30-5:00 Tuesday – 3:30-4:30 Wednesday – 3:30-5:00 Thursday- 3:30-5:15 Friday – No practice You must be picked up from practice promptly. Not getting picked up promptly from tryouts will negatively impact your chances of making the team.
