System Safety Services All of US At System Safety Services Want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a safe, Healthy and tolerant 2018 Turn up your speakers, relax and enjoy the automatic show

Please sit back and relax while listening to the beautiful music of the season. While watching this give some thought to our annual Christmas message.

My father was one of 10 children born and brought up on a prairie farm. While times were hard he always had a positive attitude and looked for the good in all situations. One of his favorite means of teaching a young “know-it-all” son was to use sayings. These sayings always had a positive message that you could easily remember.

His sayings were much like the parables that the man whose birthday we will be celebrating used to use. They were a way of teaching how to get the most out of life. The following are a few of Dad’s favorite sayings told a long time ago that I still remember and try to live by everyday. It is my hope that you will find them interesting and even useful.

“If you want perfection, you have to die and go to heaven but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t strive for it”… When I and others have made a human error, I remember these words very clearly. We are all far from perfect but that doesn’t mean we can’t continue to strive to be.

“ It is better to forgive and forget than to carry a grudge” … Sadly, I know quite a few people whom do not talk to one or more of their siblings. Some may not even remember why they still carry the grudge but feel it is up to the other to speak up first. If you are one of these people, please give some thought to these first two sayings.

“Never judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes”… This is a very old saying that has a strong positive message. We tend to be much too quick to judge and fault our fellow man without fully knowing the circumstances. What Dad was trying to teach was “tolerance.”

This is another lesson in “tolerance.” “Every man has a reason for what he is doing but you just don’t know it”… I suspect there are times when even the doer does not know why he did what he did. But there has to be a reason and until one knows it, we should not judge. This is another lesson in “tolerance.”

According to Webster’s dictionary Tolerance is “ There isn’t a road to happiness unless you have tolerance for your fellow man and yourself” … According to Webster’s dictionary Tolerance is the capacity to endure pain or hardship What Dad was trying to teach was “tolerance.” I feel he meant “the capability to accept or at least endure people who may have different ideals than yours”. I know that he felt that if you “hated” someone you were the loser.

You are not stupid and don’t ever tell yourself that you are no matter what you have done … Dad would never accept “stupid” as a valid reason why you made an error and neither should you. We humans have been making human errors ever since Adam & Eve made the first.

“Tolerate your fellow man and yourself”… The world would be a happier and lot more peaceful if we all could just be more tolerant of our fellow man. You would be happier and less stressed if you would just tolerate yourself. System Safety Services would like to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and Safe, Tolerant and Happy New Year!
