Evidence/Reasoning/Claim All of the informed decisions we make are a part of this process This includes simple decisions to complex ones Examples: What should I eat for lunch? What am I going to study in college?
Evidence Evidence is made up of new facts which we must process to reach a claim This is the raw information that we use with our rules to make decisions Example: The cafeteria has chicken, steak, or turkey available for lunch today. I know we are having steak for dinner My school is offering a wide variety of classes. Any could work in my schedule.
Reasoning Reasoning are the midpoint in our logic process We compare our new information with our previous information to create a line between them This connection leads us to our claims Examples I have previously enjoyed turkey and do not like to repeat similar meals in a single day Successful Scientists are typically well-rounded people but focus on the subject they are interested in. I enjoy Physics
Claim Claims are the opinions or decisions we come to after looking at evidence and rules For example: I would like to eat a turkey sandwich today for lunch I should study a little bit of everything, but would like to focus on physics in college
