JMA’s activities “GSICS Correction” and GSICS convention ATBD after the last meeting “GSICS Correction” and GSICS convention The MTSAT IR inter calibration system has been modified to implement “GSICS Correction” and GSICS convention. The new system will be introduced into the routine. The collocation dataset and “GSICS Correction” will be sent to EUMETSAT GSICS server operationally. ATBD ATBD on the current MTSAT IR inter calibration has been completed (v.01). ATBD on the new system hasn’t been described yet (v.02).
JMA’s activities Product Acceptance Procedure VIS calibration after the last meeting Product Acceptance Procedure GSICS Product Acceptance Form (GPAF) for “GSICS Correction” of MTSAT were filled out and submitted on Jan. 2010. VIS calibration The development of MTSAT VIS vicarious calibration system has been completed. The system will be introduced into the routine soon.

GSICS Correction of MTSAT IR To get corrected radiance IREF from disseminated digital count CMON by a linear regression The intercalibration result : disseminated digital count corrected Tb Tb-count table Tb Planck functions for MTSAT IR radiance corrected radiance
GSICS Correction of MTSAT IR For Tb users, the table to convert disseminated digital count to corrected Tb is stored as optional information. corrected calibration table disseminated digital count corrected Tb Tb-count table Tb Planck functions for MTSAT IR radiance corrected radiance
