GOING TO-- FUTURE Going to is not a tense. It is a special expression to talk about the future.

It is used with expressions such as: - tomorrow - tonight - next week/month/year - in a few hours/days - by next week, etc.

Structure of Going to The structure is: subject + be (am-is-are) + going to + verb (infinitive)

EXAMPLES I am going to sing at the party. She is going to sing at the party. He is going to sing at the party. Singular It is going to rain. You are going to sing at the party. We are going to sing at the party. Plural They are going to sing at the party.

Negative sentences structure of Going to The structure is: subject + be (am-is-are) + not + going to + verb (infinitive) EXAMPLES: I am not going to sing at the party. She is not going to sing at the party. You are not going to sing at the party.
