Localization best practices Place all localization strings in the resource file iOS: *.lproj -> Localizable.strings Android: values_* -> strings.xml Allow for up to 40% growth in your UI layout Do hardcode strings that should not be translated Avoid placing text in image files Avoid concatenating strings. Use parameters in localizable strings so translator can reorder if needed
